Digital radio is a traditional data transmission device.With the development of Internet of things and the popularization of mobile data transmission technology,many traditional digital radio stations have been replaced by other data communication devices.But in the application of medium and long distance data communication,if the installation location of the device does not have the support of the mobile communication network,digital radio stations can still play a very important role.In such cases,the amount of data is smaller in real time,most of them are small amount of data information,such as environmental information or geographic information,which have time labels.In general,areas that can not be supported by mobile networks tend to be in a bad environment.The equipment is difficult to recycle,which means that the communication equipment and testing equipment are based on the use of disposable.At the same time,this kind of application often monitors the longer time.It means that the demand for average power consumption for data communication devices is very strict.In this paper,the characteristics of existing related products at home and abroad are analyzed.The technical features of the equipment under the condition of abandonment application are put forward.And as a design criterion,a can be used for disposable applications of low cost digital radio design.In the design,from the device selection to the hardware architecture,the software design scheme strictly implements the features of simple structure,low cost,small size,short life cycle and so on.The ultimate realization of the prototype can automatically configure the power,low overall power consumption,small heat,small volume,low cost.It is verified by field test that the performance of the prototype can reach the design expectation and has a lot of room for performance improvement.It can be widely used in marine exploration,animal behavior research,geological exploration of a small amount of data for disposable applications.
