Surface plasmon is presented in the optical frequency region.In order to realize the surface-wave mode based on SSPP in the microwave and THz bands,professors present the spoof surface plasmon polariton(SSPP),which is the metal strips decorated by slits and holes.Compared to the conventional two-conductor transmission lines,this plasmonic waveguide have advantages in dielectric loss.Therefore the transmission lines,power dividers,antennas based on SSPP are researched.The main work is as follow:Firstly,new SSPP unit cells have been designed to make up the SSPP transmission lines.The superior performance has been achieved by analyzing and optimizing.Compared with the traditional SSPP,the new SSPP transmission lines has better performance.Finally,these SSPP transmission lines are fabricated and measured.The measured results agree with the simulated results,which verifies the correctness of the conclusion.Secondly,two-way SSPP power dividers,four-way SSPP power dividers and a eight-way SSPP power divider are presented based on the new SSPP transmission lines.To improve the performance of power divider,we improved the mode transition,which can introduce the lower loss and reduce the coupling at the branches.The loss of these SSPP power divider is lower than the one of microstrip power divider.Finally,these power dividers are fabricated and the measured results means the good performance.Finally,we used the theory of modulated wavenumber to research the SSPP leaky-wave antenna.According to the research on different SSPP unit cells,the radiation efficiency and the angle of beam scanning are increased.Two kinds of the antenna arrays are designed with higher gain.At last,these antennas are fabricated and measured.The measured results are in agreement with the simulation results,which verifies the feasibility and the value of the SSPP antennas.
