The deep social motivation of rumors spread originates from the psychological mechanism of the audience.The paper takes the perspective of interdisciplinary research,from the perspective of mass communication psychology,and takes the psychological mechanism of rumors" as the starting point to explore the psychological features,social harm and influencing factors of audience panic.The paper uses literature research,case analysis,empirical research to analyze the influencing factors and their interrelationships among the audience panic in rumors spread systematically.The paper is divided into 5 parts,outlined as follows:First of all,the introduction mainly elaborated the research background,research purpose and research significance of the article,and literature review.Secondly,the first chapter starts with the theoretical dimension.After combing the basic concepts of rumors and panic,it defines the rumors panic and constructs four dimensions for measuring panic.At the same time,the four characteristics of the audience panic and the social hazards were summarized.Thirdly,the second chapter focuses on the specific methods and steps of research hypothesis,model construction and questionnaire design,integrates the influence factors of audience panic in rumors communication,and constructs the SEM of audience panic in rumors spread.In addition,the third chapter is the data analysis part of the empirical research.The study tests the measurement model and the structural model.and tests the compositional reliability,convergence validity,and discriminant validity.And the structural model is estimated by parameters,path analysis and test of fitting degree.Finally,the model is revised and the direct and indirect relationships between various factors are summarized.Finally,the fourth chapter of the paper conducts inference analysis on the research results and puts forward further prospects for follow-up research.The empirical research show that the generation of panic psychology is directly or indirectly reflected by rumors,information factors,group environmental factors,and audience cognitive factors,and there are also interrelationships among these influencing factors.There are differences in individuals' perceptions of rumors panic.The types of rumors that the public are most likely to panic are rumors of personal safety and healthy health rumors.Follow-up actions of rumors panic are psychological questioning,fact seeking,and second-time spreading.
