Ornamental plants are not only used for ornamental purposes,but also to arouse public interests in their specific features and USES.With the popularization of smart phones,it is of practical significance to develop a mobile phone APP based on C/S architecture to recognize the main ornamental plants.System in this paper through the iPhone photos for plant "flower","leaf" image,and upload to server,using the between-cluster variance method to extract the target area,and then through the corresponding algorithm to extract the target color,shape,texture feature,using SVM method and the feature library,so as to recognize the plant and the graphic results in the mobile terminal display.Several experiments show that the comprehensive recognition rate of selected ornamental plants is above 80%,and some basic exploration is made for the mobile phone identification of ornamental plants on campus.It provides the realization method for the mobile phone recognition based on flowers and leaves on campus,and carries forward the scientific value and unique humanistic value of ornamental plants on university campuses.This article mainly does the following work:(1)Designed and established ornamental plant database.The design of the database and its stored ornamental plant data are of great significance to the accurate identification of the image on the server side.Ten ornamental plants were selected and a database of three tables was established.(2)Collected and organized the scientific property information of ornamental plants,campus culture information and ornamental plant pictures.(3)Studied the segmentation and feature extraction algorithms of plant images.The segmentation of image adopts the automatic threshold segmentation method based on Lab color space.Feature extraction is based on color feature,shape feature and texture feature.(4)Designed the iOS mobile client interface.The image is captured and uploaded with the camera,and the results are returned to the mobile phone and displayed in the form of pictures and words.(5)Realized the basic functions of mobile phone and server.Configure the background Apache server and build MySQL plant database in the background;The delivery of data through the HTTP protocol.Operation and realization of image processing and recognition using OpenCV technology.
