The static characteristic makes configuration of the network and implementation of the new service extremely complex.Nowadays the network needs much more flexibility.Software-defined network(SDN)is supposed as a dynamic,programmable,cost-effective,adaptable architecture. In SDN,one controller architecture is much easier to test and deployed, but it would also become the bottleneck of network performance.Large network or data centers perfer cluster controllers to resolves signal peer invalid problem and to avoid poor extensibility. However, the main cluster archtecture remains static relationship between controllers and switches which leads to the waste of resources. In this paper, the newest technology of controller cluster resources scheduling is introduced in detail at first. Then,we analyze that static management caunnot adapt to dynamic traffic change, which leads to the unbalanced resource allocation. We propose a distributed elastic resources scheduling module and implement it in OpenDaylight controllers.Considering the CPU usage and the memory usage,we first initialize the assignment, and then through the monitor of the remained resources,we dynamically adjust the relationship between controllers and switches. At the same time,we selectively wake or sleep some nodes. Finally, the experiment shows that the distributed elastic resources scheduling module shortens reply time, ensures the robustness of the system and reduces resources consumption.
