Research On The Impact Of Information Communication Technologies On Fruit Farmers In The Perspective Of Community Informatics

With the development of society and economy,Information and Communication Technologies(ICTs)have gradually entered the vast rural areas.ICTs not only has narrowed the digital divide between urban and rural areas,which has made the rural residents enjoy the convenience of ICTs' development,but also has provided more opportunities to increase the peasants' income,overcome poverty and empower themselves.However,peasant groups are faced with many problems in the development of social informatization due to the precondition,education level,social system structure or other reasons.The differences between the rich and the poor in rural areas are becoming more pronounced,hindering the pace of regional development and social progress.As an emerging subject,Community Informatics(CI)mainly focuses on the interaction between ICTs and communities,which is expected to improve the conditions and methods of community access to information through ICT,and enhance the ability of digital vulnerable groups and marginalized communities to obtain information through training and other methods to narrow the digital divide,improve the community economic development,and promote the social equity.In terms of research objects,there are research results of CI on the farmers or rural areas at home and abroad.As a unique group,fruit farmers' association with ICTs has had impact on various aspects of their life and community development.Through the research on this specific group of fruit farmers,this article aims to present the status of the fruit famers' use of ICTs,and put forward a research framework that affects the fruit famers' use of ICTs and present them through individual cases.Because psychology influences behavior,behavior affects effect,and effect will have the effect on psychology,which are interlocked.So we propose measures to promote the positive impact of ICTs on fruit farmers from macroscopic to microscopic perspectives and from the social,community and individual levels after finding out the positive and negative effects of the use of ICTs on the psychology,behavior,and effect of fruit farmers,such as the establishment of rural informatization laws and regulations at the social level,focusing on legislation and supervision;the improvement of rural community information system construction at the community level;and self-capacity building with conscious using of ICTs at the individual level.It will make better use of the role of ICTs and contribute to the healthy development of social,economic and cultural aspects in rural areas.
