With the rapid developing of various new distributed technology, the concept of “Internet of Things” has come into the horizon of human beings. The Internet of Things(IoT)is on the basis of the internet and traditional telecommunication network, but much useful than either. The IoT can realize communication interaction based on quantities of sensors which scattered in networks formed in different physical environments or information systems. This may provide a good opportunity for the interoperability between systems, and create favorable conditions for the resource and service sharing in the heterogeneous network at the same time. And somehow,it can improve the performance and resource utilization of distributed systems, and also offers foundation for the development of new technologies. In recent years, the concept of “domain” has been leading to the encryption authentication of large scale distributed system,so the multi-domain interoperability technology is now being widely used. The researches on the data encryption and cross-domain authentication between different systems has now become a hot issue. The application of wireless sensor networks in the Internet of Things is a major research area for the multi-domain interoperability of many fields.Nevertheless, the traditional security mechanism cannot ensure a safe and effective transmission of messages due to the dynamic deployment and instability of wireless sensor networks. Thus, many kinds of authentication schemes for the Internet of Things has been proposed.Unfortunately, precious few schemes are using distinct system parameters for users in different systems,so that majority of these schemes are not completely applicable to cross-domain authentication mechanism under the environment of the Internet of Things. In this paper,we study on the cross-domain authentication mechanism and related schemes for the Internet of Things, and achieved following goals:(1)Study on cross-domain signcryption scheme based on different system parameters.Using bilinear pairings and mathematical computing difficulties,we designed a optimized cross-domain authentication algorithm, and proposed a high-performance authentication scheme based on different system parameters on the basis of the algorithm, together with its general model and security model.According to its security model,we confirmed its security using the security at the same time.Compared with existing schemes, the proposed scheme needs less calculation and energy consumption.(2)Analysis the cross-domain authentication mechanism under the environment of Internet of things.Based on the wireless sensor network model,we build a cross-domain authentication mechanism that can be used in the Internet of things.Through the analysis of the authentication scheme,we can prove the security requirements and the known session-specific temporary information security of our scheme. The proposed scheme can realize information interaction in the IoT platform, and also meet the requirements of message transmission and data sharing.
