Wireless sensor networks(WSNs),which integrates three technologies of microsensor, wireless communication and embedded computing, has been widely applied in military, environmental monitoring, biomedical, family life and so on,and has become a hot topic in the field of Internet of Things and industrial intelligence.Wireless sensor networks can increase production efficiency and accelerate social development, but there are always inherent limitations, such as limited node resources, complex and varied requirements, and high correlation with application, which make it difficult to satisfy different scenarios and application requirements, and transmit stable and reliable information. The research of routing algorithm and key management is an important method to solve the above problems.Routing algorithms are designed to reduce network power consumption and extend network lifetime, and multilevel routing has good scalability and low power consumption.Key management is an important means to ensure the safety and reliability of network transmission. And the distribution and updating of keys are required on the basis of routing algorithms. An effective method faced by researching the routing algorithm of adaptive scene application and the key management scheme based on improved encryption algorithm is constructed in this paper to solve the challenges.Considering the ideas mentioned above, the main contents are as follows:(i)The deployment of nodes in unmanned areas has the problems that the node locations are difficult to arrange on demand, and the transmission distance of nodes varies. In order to meet the requirements of efficient transmission,a hybrid multihop partition-based multilevel clustering routing algorithm(HMPBMC)for WSNs is proposed in this paper. In the algorithm, partition management is implemented to meet interests and needs for technical application environment,an improved single-chain structure within cluster and a region minimum spanning tree structure among clusters are used to decrease energy consumption,energy-based cluster-head selection mechanism is simulated to balance network load, and cluster-heads is selected in the process of data transmission to reduce the number of forwarding. The experimental results show that HMPBC has significant improvements in these performances, such as energy consumption, expansibility, stability, and so on,while comparing with the protocols of LEACH,LEACH-MLOR and EEHMCS.(ii)In the key management scheme of WSNs,the key generation algorithms of WSNs have problems such as large power consumption and easy disclosure of the master key.Aiming at meeting the need of reliable transmission,a key management scheme of multi-key mechanism based on LEAP protocol(KMSMM)is designed. The scheme expounds the roles of individual node key, pairwise shared key, cluster key and group key in the safe operation of the network. And the key management mechanisms are designed in response to special requirements, such as network expansion, update, interest requirements, etc. In addition,a pairwise shared key based on the solution of linear equations(PSKBSLE)and a individual node key based on retention theorem(INKBRT)are proposed in KMSMM.Analyzing the connectivity, security and effectiveness of the schemes,it shows that the schemes have better security assurance, acceptable computing and communication overhead, and lower storage overhead while comparing with other schemes.
