TWDM-PON is the mainstream of next generation access network,which is characterized by its high bandwidth,long distance and multiple users.With the emergence of the new business and various bandwidth on demand,it is more important to satisfy the users' bandwidth request and their business perception experience.In addition,the greenhouse effect and energy crisis are more and more serious.Based on those,it is very intelligible to propose an effective and efficient resource dynamically scheduling algorithm and a light-weight energy saving mechanism for TDWN-PON.Focusing on the resource optimization problem,a High-priority Assignment First Dynamic Wavelength and Bandwidth Allocation Algorithm is proposed.In this algorithm,the priority of ONU is determined based on the Service Level Agreement.By establishing a single queue multiple servers model,the ONU with high priority is guaranteed to first select the wavelength.Meanwhile,five kinds of T-CONTs are considered on the bandwidth dimension for different bandwidth request and the bandwidth is allocated according to need in TWDM-PON in order to satisfy the QoS request such as the delay jitter and packet loss rate.Furthermore,the users are grouped according to the regional property and time variability of their data traffic.Based on this,we make use of the tenability of TWDN-PON wavelength and the transferability of ONUs,the ONUs on the wavelength with light workload is transferred to the other wavelength.According to the traffic of each ONU,the traffic optimization groups are set.The fixed bandwidth allocation algorithm is realized in the group to maximize ONUs' sleep time and idle wavelengths are turned off to reduce energy consumption in TWDM-PON.Compared with the traditional strategy,the proposed resource allocation in this paper can not only guarantee the high bandwidth utilization rate,but also maintain the average delay time at a lower level.Moreover,the better fairness is ensured when different types of bandwidth are allocated.Furthermore,the proposed energy-efficient algorithm consumes less energy than other algorithms because more ONUs can be transferred and more ONUs can enter in the idle state.So more energy can be saved.
