With the continuous development of ultra-short optical pulse technology,ultrashort optical pulse has broad application prospects in industrial production,military science and other fields.And with the application range of the ultrashort optical pulse in various fields gradually expanded,the accuracy of the ultrashort optical pulse in the time domain synthesis and control technology becomes more and more important.First of all,this thesis taked the ultra-short optical pulse synthesis system as the subject.The history of the development of ultrashort optical pulse technology and the research status of the ultrashort optical pulse synthesis system at home and abroad wwer reviewed in this paper.The current common method of generating ultra-short pulse of different waveforms and the most common various synthetic plastic systems were also introduced in this dissertation.Secondly,the transmission characteristics of Mach-Zehnder interferometer(MZI)were deeply studied.Transmission matrix method was used to study its transmission characteristics in detail,and the power characteristics and phase characteristics of Mach-Zehnder interferometer output were analyzed.Finally,an ultrashort optical pulse synthesis system based on Mach-Zehnder interferometer was designed.Based on the differential characteristic of Mach-Zehnder interferometer and the related theory of signal system,an ultra-short optical pulse synthesis system based on Mach-Zehnder interferometer was designed.By changing the weighting coefficients of different order differentiators,flat top pulse,triangular pulse and parabolic type pulse were synthesized,and by changing the relevant parametersthe conclusion that the output pulse waveform remained basically unchanged proved the stability of the system.
