Image processing methods are largely used in different fields,which requires good adaptation to get better image quality.However,many vision systems as targets tracking,spatial navigation system,road monitoring are very delicate to weather turbulence or sunshine.The main problem to get nice image often is fog weather,due of atmospheric particles in the air.Therefore it is very helpful to study the method to enhance image quality in severe weather conditions.At present,there are two popular methods for image enhancement in foggy condition.The first one is based on enhancing image to get better clarity from the perspective of image processing;the second is based on physical model of atmospheric degradation of image.In this thesis,the work will summarize as follows:Firstly,an introduction is given to the research status and development trend of fog detection.The estimation of fog by inverse transform are introduced.The existing method to detect fog in some blur image is also stated.Secondly the existing method of image restoration method which is the most common application is pointed out,and the problem existing in this algorithm are derived.In order to solve this problem,an improved WIENER filter algorithm is proposed based on the estimation of the degradation function.The implementation of our method used MATLAB software,the simulation results show that our algorithm can improve efficiently the performance of image restoration by WIENER filtering and in general to optimize image quality.
