Narrowband Internet of Things(NB-Io T)is a Low-Power Wide-Area(LPWA)network technology based on cellular network.The application of NB-Io T will gradually expand under the influence of government promotion and the simultaneous development of all walks of life.In a NB-Io T application,terminal nodes have higher requirements for security mechanisms such as encryption algorithms and key management protocols due to their lower computing power,smaller storage resources,and limited energy.In addition,the communication content is relatively single,the data length is limited,and the business communication flow is different from the original Internet of Things service.This makes the existing relevant security mechanisms still need to conduct adaptive research in the NB-Io T application environment.Therefore,this paper starts with the security issues of NB-Io T in the application environment and studies the security mechanism of NB-Io T in the application environment according to the application characteristics of NB-Io T.(1)According to the special requirements of the NB-Io T terminal for encryption algorithms,this paper proposes a lightweight encryption algorithm based on AES and chaotic sequences,and presents a NB-Io T encryption model that combines the encryption algorithm with the NB-Io T terminal.The theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the encryption algorithm has higher security and operating efficiency compared with the existed related solutions.It is suitable for NB-Io T terminal nodes with weak calculate ability and limited storage resources.(2)This paper designs a dynamically updateable pre-assigned key management protocol for the encryption algorithm proposed in this paper.This protocol can provide security for key sharing between terminal nodes and servers.The results show that this protocol has advantages in computational cost and storage cost.(3)Based on the existing NB-Io T hardware platform in the laboratory,this paper designs the software of NB-Io T terminal and the server's listening software to realize the encapsulation of encryption algorithm,key management protocol and basic data communication function of NB-Io T.At the same time,this paper leverages the system to verify the actual performance and resource occupation of encryption algorithms and key management protocols on NB-Io T terminal node.The test results show that the encryption algorithm has higher actual performance and occupies fewer resources,and can be used as an NB-Io T terminal encryption algorithm.The actual performance and resource occupancy of the key management protocol have some certain advantages compared with other protocols.
