With the development of power electronic technology,the factors that generate reactive power are more and more,such as perceptual load,inverter,phased rectifier equipment and other power electronic devices.This not only severely reduces the powe factor and increases the burden of the power network,but also introduces lots of harmonic current,which affects the stability of systemand reduces the power supply quality of the power network.Static synchronous compensator(STATCOM)are installed in the power system can not only improve system power factor and the power system security and reliability,also can reduce the power loss,reduce equipment capacity.The control method has a great influence on its performance and stability in the design of STATCOM.So the research of STATCOM is a subject of great significance and value.In this paper,the nonlinear control problem for stability of STATCOM is studied,the digital circuit system based on DSP is designed and the circuit platform is built and simulated.The main contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly,this paper introduces the background and significance of reactive power compensation,its development and research status,and summarizes the nonlinear control method of reactive power compensation and the main work.Secondly,this paper investigated an adaptive controller and parameter estimator for single-machine infinite-bus system with STATCOM based on immersion and invariance(I&I)theory to improve the stability of the system.Then the simulation results are compared with the conventional inverse push algorithm by using Matlab.Results verify that the controller can handle the system with unknown parameters.Thirdly,the state space modle of the STATCOM system was established.The state feedback controller was designed based on H? for the system with uncertain parameters and external disturbances.At the same time the simulation analysis was carried out.The simulation results showed that the designed controller has strong robustness.Fourthly,the digital control circuit system of STATCOM based on TMS320F2812 chip is designed.The main circuit,the voltage acquisition circuit,the driving circuit and the protection circuit of STATCOM are designed in detail and the material object was made.Then,the program of control system was composed in CCS3.3 environment by modular programming ideas for the digital control experimental platfom.Tthe design principle of each module and the flow chart was given.Finally,the main research work of the paper is summarized and the prospect of further research are putforward.
