In recent decades,many developed countries,such as the United States,have invested a lot of manpower and resources to develop the near space vehicle,and have made great progress.As the near space vehicle has become a new frontier of scientific research across the world,it is of great significance and practical value to study how to implement the effective positioning and tracking of the near space vehicle.This paper focuses on maneuvering target localization and tracking algorithms in near space.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)The background and significance of conducting a research study on the near space vehicle's location and tracking algorithms are elaborated in first section of the paper.It also summarizes the related literature in China and abroad,and introduces the basic concept of multi-station passive location.(2)The characteristics of the multi-station DOA location algorithm,multi-station TDOA location algorithm and multi-station passive DOA jointed TOA location algorithm are analyzed in the second section of the paper.It discusses the principle of the near space fixed target location based on the multi-station passive DOA jointed TOA location algorithm,and verifies the influence of baseline length,target altitude,position error,time error and angle measurement error on positioning precision by using simulations.(3)In terms of the problem of IMM algorithm in model type selection,this paper analyses the tracking performance on target's different motion of several commonly used models through simulation experiments.Simulation results show that the adaptability of singer model is better than the CV model.This conclusion provides the basis for the designing of PIMM algorithm's model set.(4)In order to select the number of models effectively for the IMM algorithm,this paper proposes an improved algorithm named parallel model set of interacting multiple model algorithm(PIMM).This algorithm runs two model sets in parallel and the maneuvering motion and the non-maneuvering motion forms of the target are respectively fitted.Then it chooses the optimal model set filter result to output by comparing the model probability.The simulation result provides support for the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.The design of a model set is a key problem for parallel model set of interacting multiple model algorithm.If the model set design is improper,it may lead to the descent of the tracking accuracy and the instability of the filter.This paper proves the parallel model set of interacting multiple model algorithm with Singer model has better tracking stability and accuracy than the parallel model set of interacting multiple model algorithm with CV model through simulation.
