Highway and urban roads need to detect the in the surface smoothness and plane angular in the acceptance stage and road maintenance stage.Road smoothness is one important indicator to reflect the building quality of the road.Monitoring the road smoothness can promptly rule out risk brought by the damage,improve the road quality in construction,and extend the road life.The wireless sensor technology using communication technology,sensor and information processing technology together can achieve real-time monitoring of road smoothness,collect and process data and delivery the data to the user timely.This paper designs a planar smoothness measurement system driven by a photovoltaic cell.Based on the introduction of domestic and international smoothness specification and the measurement of road smoothness,the working principle of several commonly used acceleration sensors is analyzed,and the capacitive acceleration sensor is selected as our data acquisition module of the system.Secondly,the overall scheme and hardware and software platform of the system are designed.According to the overall scheme,the signal acquisition circuit of the acceleration sensor,the wireless communication module and the power supply system are designed.The power supply of the system is a photovoltaic battery.A series of performance tests on the battery are performed.The design of the software platform includes the introduction of the ZigBee software development environment,the build of the system network and the designing of the remote monitoring software.After the completion of the system hardware and software platform,the sensitivity of the system is measured,and the road with different material surfaces is tested,which realizes a real-time remote monitoring of road smoothness.The system can also detect the transverse slope and surface roughness of the roadThe measured results show that the smoothness measurement system designed in this paper has a certain applicationgs,which rovides a simpler and more effective tool for detecting road smoothness in road acceptance and road maintenance stage.
