With the development of computer technology,3D rendering and virtual reality in modern industrial applications and daily life become more and more important.Mate-rial occupies an essential part in 3D rendering in to show more different visual effects.Mostly used technology for the acquisition of materials today is shooting technology,but because of the limitations of conditions in photographing,the acquired material information is usually not accurate.So how to get the material information is very im-portant.We mostly use the existing industrial software,such as 3dmax,maya to attach textures to 3D models and render,but the rendering is very time-consuming,so it's very important to reduce the rendering time while keeping the quality when we need to replace the texture of 3D models.In this paper,we propose a modified algorithm for material acquisition,and a method of texture replacement based on 2D images,which greatly saves the time of texture replacement.Specifically,our work mainly includes the following three aspects:·The design of the hardware to acquire material information.The existing mate-rial information acquisition scheme is based on two modes,scanner or camera.There are two important issues in the existing technology.One is the acquired in-formation is incomplete,witch can only collect color information;the second is the instability of material information,because the information acquired is diffi-cult to apply to reality.In order to overcome the two defects,we design a material scanning device,which uses shading boxes,LED lights,CPL,diffusion plate and other materials,to get pictures from directional light and improve the quality of the pictures as much as possible.·Material surface information acquisition method.In this paper,we firstly pro-posal to use multiple sets of pictures to compute material surface information from the view of industry.We can get the normal information,specular infor-mation,diffuse information,alpha information and displacement information of material by our method.Because of the limited quality of the pictures taken,we process the images through the pretreatment process such as light compensation and picture correction,and then use our calculation technology to calculate the surface information of the material.Then we use some filtering technology as well as image stitching to get some high-quality material surface information pictures.·Texture replacement method based on 2D images.Sometimes we don't need special fine rendered effect images and we just want to select the most suitable material according to a preview as soon as possible,so it is a very important to have the texture replaced quickly and also get an acceptable overall rendering image.In this paper,we design a texture replacement method based on 2D im-ages,which only use the middle rendered images by 3dmax and material surface information acquired by our method,including material normal information,ma-terial color information to replace model texture quickly.Our experiments show that this texture replacement method can greatly improve the replacement speed while ensuring the result.
