Research On The Construction Of Book Resources And Collection Structure

In the background of the shortage of library funds,the limited space of libraries and the decline of the number of users,library researchers in our country has to start to examine the current collection structure and the quality of the collection.The collection assessment theory has also gone through single book collection assessment,electronic resources evaluation existed in the twenty-first century,to a variety of collections of comprehensive assessment.However,the actual level of book resources stock and collection structure is lack of comprehensive investigation and discussion.The article chooses the National Library and the CALIS(China Academic Library&Information System)as the research object,which aims to verify whether the library resources guarantee rate is ideal and whether the collection structure is reasonableThe plan of incremental book resources is based on the investigation of current book resources stock.To compare with the OPAC system of National Library and "eDu"discovery system of CALIS,National New Books Information is chosen to be the standard bibliography.The analysis can be divided into several parts:literature guarantee efficiency,subject structure,type structure,etc.Besides,in the case study of strategic emerging industries book resources,the "Core Bibliography" based on citation analysis is determined from "DuXiu" database firstly,and then retrieved in five Universities Library OPAC systems,National Library OPAC system and "eDu"discovery system of CALIS.According to such investigation,planning can be made on the incremental book resources and construction of libraries collection structure.List-Checking is used to be the main method,which conducts with Web-Crawler program to gather data.This article also uses antitheses,citation analysis method,inductive and deductive method.The conclusion is that the literature guarantee rate of National Library is higher than CALIS "eDu" system,collection structure of National Library is also more reasonable than CALIS's in general.Specifically,in the field of strategic emerging industries,National Library's literature guarantee rate is higher than CALIS's.It's dissatisfied that the number of legal-deposit copies is insufficient and the construction and promotion of national bibliography is feeblePlanning of the construction of incremental book resources and optimization of collection structure concludes three parts:as an aspect of organization establishment,it is necessary to set up a committee to manage legal-deposit copies and the construction of national bibliography uniformly;on the level of legal system design,the government should accelerate the process of library legislation and build a complete legal system which includes fundamental laws,special laws,local laws and departmental regulations;from the point of view of bibliographic control and collection structure optimization,it is need to strengthen the construction of national bibliography and the development and utilization of bibliographic data,and it is also important to optimize collection structure in terms of book acquisition method,personnel training and book resources digitization;and influenced by industrial agglomeration effect,the strategic emerging industries book resources guarantee system should be established to promote the output of scientific research.
