In recent years,with the explosion of bandwidth demand,there has been a significant development in optical layer networks.However,the restrictions of fixed grid and single modulation mode in traditional WDM networks lead to a huge challenge in the efficient and flexible use of spectrum resources.Consideration of the above problems and difficulties,this paper introduces a flexible optical layer network called Bandwith Varible Optical Networks.Spectrum resources are further divided into a more flexible grid so that we can save more spectrum resources in this way.However,traditional route computation and spectrum allocation methods are difficult to meet the demand of next generation networks.Consideration of the new features in Bandwith Varible Optical Networks,this paper focuses on the flexible TE path calculation strategy,spectrum allocation method,modulation mode selection and guard band allocation strategy.Many innovative results have been put forward and researched in this paper and described as below:Firstly,this paper puts forward a Bandwith Variable Path Computation Element(BV-PCE)model in Bandwith Varible Optical Networks based on Backward-Recursive PCE-Based Computation(BRPC)strategy,and builds a experimental platform by making use of BV-PCE model.BV-PCE model can improve spectrum utilization of xperimental platform effectively.At the same time,BV-PCE can also develop the continuity of spectrum by adopting spectrum strategy.Secondly,two path computation strategies based on traffic grooming and load balance are proposed.Considering of spectrum utilization and link utilization both,this paper also proposes an innovative traffic grooming path computation strategy in the P2MP network architecture to save the guard band between signals.Finally,this paper proposes three work path and alternate path computation strategies based on Surrable arithmetic in Bandwith Varible Optical Networks.We can compute two disjoint paths synchronized to ensure the safety of network transmission.Through analysis,we can improve the success rate of alternate path computation to reduce blocking probability of the network.
