Research On The Influence Of Family Capital On The Employment Intention Of Master Students

With the development of the popularization of higher education,the number of students in universities continues to expand,and graduate students are facing a severe employment situation.The issue of graduate employment has become a hot topic of social concern.As the native environment for graduate students to grow up,their capital stock may have an impact on the employment intention of master students.This study takes full-time graduate students of Nanjing University as the research object,and uses a combination of quantitative research and qualitative research to deeply analyze how family factors affect the job search process of master students and explore how family capital affects the employment perception and Employment intentions and other employment intentions.According to the relevant theories of family capital and the dimensions divided by domestic and foreign scholars,this study takes family economic capital,family social capital and family cultural capital as three forms of family capital.Through a questionnaire survey,it explores the relationship between family capital and employment intention of master students Relationship.The results of the study show that the family economic capital impact factors for graduates' employment intentions include annual household income(per capita)and living expenses given by parents,and the family social capital impact factors include parent occupation,parent work unit,parental political outlook,family contacts and the number of close friends and relatives,family cultural capital influence factors include family education methods,parents' reading time and parents' attention to current affairs politics.Based on the above research results,the researchers put forward relevant research suggestions: first,the government grants suitable job search subsidies to poor families' master students.Second,the government increases the employment treatment of graduate students working in the western region.Third,give full play to the leading role of colleges and universities in employment guidance and improve college employment platforms.Fourth,families respect the freedom of graduates to choose their jobs and provide strong backing for job search.Fifth,masters students increase self-confidence in employment and reduce the impact of insufficient family capital on employment.
