With the advent of the information age and rapid development,high-tech talents from various countries have made great contributions to national progress and economic development,and computer talents are clearly listed.As a result,more and more countries and educators are beginning to focus on training computer talents.The focus of training computer talents is to cultivate their computational thinking,which aims to cultivate their scientific and effective problem-solving thinking.There are many ways to cultivate students 'ability of computational thinking,and the programming course is one of the effective ways to cultivate it.Although the programming course plays a vital role in cultivating students' computational thinking,as a new discipline,especially in elementary school,there are still many practical problems.For example,there is the lack of the scientific teaching goal,the reasonable teaching content,and the multiple evaluation method.Therefore,this study relies on the primary school information technology course to design primary school programming teaching activities,with a view to truly improving primary students' computational thinking ability.This research uses the method of literature research to sort out the relevant domestic and foreign literatures on computational thinking cultivation and programming education and teaching.Based on the survey research methods,a field survey of the primary programming programming situation of Lanzhou Huaqiao Experimental School is conducted.Based on the actual situation of teaching,the theory of children's cognitive development,the theory of learning from doing,activity theory,the three-dimensional framework of computational thinking and the standards of basic education information technology curriculum,it designs a primary school programming teaching activities to cultivate students' ability of computational thinking.The core elements include six aspects: teaching guiding ideology,teaching objectives,teaching content,teaching activity process,teaching implementation conditions,and teaching evaluation.Then,67 students from the fourth grade and fifth class of Lanzhou Huaqiao Experimental School were used as the research object to conduct three rounds of iterative teaching practice by action research,and the teaching activity design was analyzed and revised through thefeedback data of each round of teaching practice.Finally,it formed an effective and reliable design of primary school programming teaching activities.Based on this,the design strategies of primary school programming teaching activities are also summarized.Finally,by analyzing the results of pre-and post-calculation data,student interview results,and observations of the students,it was found that the primary school programming teaching activities in this study does effectively improve the students' computational thinking ability.
