Young and middle-aged migrant workers are not only a driving force for urban construction and economic development, but also an important part of the marriage and child-rearing group. As important events in the life course of migrant workers, marriage and childbirth are not only related to the happiness of the family, but also to the harmony and stability of the society. At the same time, with the changing times and social development, the marriage and childbearing behavior of the new generation of migrant workers is changing. Therefore,it is particularly important to compare the marriage and childbearing behaviors of older and newer generations of migrant workers through dynamic data.Based on the sample database of Chongqing's inflowing population in the 2017 National Floating Population Dynamics Survey, the article combs and encodes the variables of the questionnaire.Based on the database information, the article uses five dimensions such as marital status, age at first marriage, age at first childbirth, interval between marriage and childbearing, marriage pattern to carry out descriptive statistical analysis on the marriage and childbearing behavior characteristics of the two generations of migrant workers. At the same time, through literature review and theoretical basis, the research hypothesis of intergenerational, educational level, and migrant behavior has a significant effect on the marriage and childbearing behavior of migrant workers, and the multiple linear regression method is used to conduct empirical research on the influencing factors of migrant workers' marriage and parenting behavior.A cross-tabulation and statistical test were used to compare the marriage and childbearing behavior characteristics of the old and new-generation migrant workers. The results show that the marriage status of Chongqing's migrant workers is dominatedby first marriage, and the marriage and childbearing characteristics of the old and new-generation migrant workers are different, the specific manifestations are as follows:(1)The older generation of migrant workers mainly moved into the family first, and then moved together. The proportion of couples moving together and the family moving together is high, while the new generation of migrant workers mostly moves alone or follows their parents,to complete marriage and childbearing in the flow;(2)the age of first marriage of the newer generation of migrant workers has been delayed, the age of first childbirth is advanced, and the interval between marriage and childbearing is shortening;(3)the traditional marriage age matching model of "big boys and small girls" and the "married to someone in the same hometown" style geographical matching mode is the main choice for inter-marriage behavior of migrant workers. At the same time,inter-provincial inter-marriages of the newer generation of migrant workers have increased and geographical inter-marriage circles have expanded.(4)There are many early marriages and premarital births among migrant workers, especially the the new-generation migrant workers' proportion of unmarried cohabitation, premarital births, and marriage because of children is higher. An empirical study was performed on the influencing factors of migrant workers' marriage and childbearing behavior through a multiple linear regression model, the results show that the inter-generational differences of migrant workers' age of first marriage;age of first childbearing;interval between first marriage and first childbearing, interval between first child and second child are significant. The influencing factors of each dimension are both common and different.Among them, common factors include intergenerational, educational level, and migrant behavior.Other different factors include gender, length of marriage before marriage and childbearing, the order of first marriage and first childbirth, adjustment of fertility policy, first marriage age and first birth age.Combining research theory and empirical results,it is believed that values and mobility behaviors have an important impact on the intergenerational transformation of migrant workers' marriage and childbearing behaviors. Finally, this article explores the reasons behind the occurrence of marital malpractices in terms of the dual influences of urban and rural cultures, the weakening of traditional social moral constraints, the rapid development of the Internet and massmedia, and the causes of migrant workers, with a view to formulating or adjusting population policies for relevant departments,to strengthen the marriage and childbirth management and services for migrant workers to provide reference.
