The rapid development of intelligent technology heralds the arrival of a brand new era.Countries around the world are trying to seize the opportunity of educational development in the era of artificial intelligence.Youth programming education is getting more and more attention.However,the practice of youth programming education in China is still in the initial stage of development.In recent years,many schools have developed courses featuring programming education.However,since the curriculum standards for programming education in primary and secondary schools have not yet been established,teachers and students also face many difficulties and challenges,and it is difficult for teachers to pay attention to each student.Student investment is a necessary condition for teachers to carry out effective teaching.It is of great significance and practical value to study the learning engagement in programming learning in order to improve the learning efficiency of students and the teaching quality of teachers.The core research content of this research is the impact of pair programming on the learning investment of middle school students,starting from the following two questions:(1)What is the status of learning engagement in middle school programming?(2)Does pair programming promote learning engagement?Based on the above research issues,this article conducts research from three aspects:(1)sort out relevant literature,outline the concept of learning investment and related research,summarize the research status of learning engagement and related strategies to promote learning engagement.(2)Conducting pre-research,using questionnaires and interviews to investigate the current situation of middle school students 'investment in programming learning;(3)Designing quasi-experiments for pair programming to promote learning engagement,and conducting experiments to explore the impact of pair programming on middle school students' learning engagement.Based on the above research,the research results are summarized.Finally,this article draws the conclusions: 1.Middle school students have a low investment in programming learning;2.Pair programming can effectively promote students' learning engagement in the programming classroom,mainly from promoting student cooperation and between students.Communication to promote students' cognitive investment.It looks forward to the follow-up research and looks forward to providing help for the theoretical research and practice of programming learning for middle school students.
