The Guide to Learning and Development for Children 3-6 years of age,formulated by the Ministry of Education in 2012,states that kindergartens should provide children with activities that require concerted efforts to complete,let them realize the importance of cooperation in specific activities,learn to work together,and support young children in exploring and sharing with their peers.STEAM education,as a new type of education,is a new way to train students to use integrated thinking to solve practical problems.STEAM education is the characteristic of integrated thinking,which makes teamwork,division of labor and cooperation become very important.Cooperation is essential to one's life,work and study.Therefore,this study will theoretically explore the relationship between STEAM activities and children's cooperation,and on the basis of theoretical research to construct a practical scheme suitable for middle-class children's STEAM activities,through empirical research,that is,through carrying out STEAM activities in kindergarten middle classes to explore its impact on the cooperation literacy of middle-class children.The theoretical and practical value of this study: through combing the theory of STEAM education in early childhood and the relationship between the theory and cooperation,this study constructs a STEAM activity which is beneficial to the development of children's cooperative literacy,which has rich theoretical significance of domestic children's STEAM education research.This study selected Shanghai X kindergarten,and randomly selected two middle class children each 30,respectively as experimental group and control group.A three-month STEAM activity was carried out for the experimental group,while the control group carried out regular kindergarten day activities.Before and after the activity,the children of the experimental group and the control group were measured before and after by the educational experiment method to understand the development of the three dimensions under the cooperation literacy of the children in the experimental group and the control group,and the statistical analysis of the collected data was carried out by SPSS software.In addition,the author interviewed the three teachers involved in this study,and qualitatively analyzed the development of cooperation literacy of middle-class children after the implementation of STEAM activities.The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)STEAM activity can promote the development of cooperative concept cognition in young children;(2)STEAM activity is beneficial to the development of cooperative emotion in young children(3)STEAM activity is beneficial to the improvement of cooperative behavior in young children,so STEAM activity is beneficial to the promotion of cooperative literacy in middle-class children.This study puts forward the following suggestions:(1)Steam activities should be diversified.(2)Apply STEAM activities to group cooperation activities.(3)Strengthening the relevant training of the STEAM activities of kindergarten teachers.
