Parents are affected by the value of their children in the process of raising their children.A study of the social responsibility of listed firms in the United States found that a CEO with a daughter would be influenced by altruism and promote the corporate social responsibility.Inspired by this, this thesis proposes that executives with daughters will be affected by women's risk aversion tendency to curb investment and R&D.This thesis summarizes it into hypotheses and tests them with data from China's listed firms. The results show that firms with chairmen having daughters invest less on R&D.This thesis provides new insights into the study of influence of children on parents and business decisions.
