Since the promulgation of "Music Curriculum Standard for Full-time Compulsory Education(Experimental Draft)" in 2001,the basic music teaching in China has developed rapidly.In the process of basic education curriculum reform,rural music education has always been a weak area of social concern,improving the teaching quality of rural music classes,exploring a teaching method suitable for rural primary school music classes,has always been an important topic of concern to the industry.A teacher from Australia,Joanne Brooke,taught music education in the remote countryside of China for 8 years,founded a set of "happy learning" music teaching method suitable for rural music education in China.Like many volunteers in our country,she walked into the mountains and sent music and warmth to schools that lacked music teachers and equipment.The difference was that she also sent advanced music teaching ideas and teaching methods.With the teaching method as the core,Joanne Brooke has set up nearly 40 hope primary schools in remote rural areas such as Gansu,Guangxi,Ningxia,Henan,Shandong,Guizhou,etc.The teaching effect is consistent with the concept of "Music Curriculum Standard" issued by the Ministry of Education.This teaching method mainly includes two aspects: classroom teaching and extracurricular activities,the classroom teaching process is composed of eight different forms of teaching content,such as warm-up exercises,singing,playing,reading,music knowledge,improvisation,rhythm performance and other forms of content linked to each other,rich and diverse,warm atmosphere,mellow;extracurricular activities are an extension of the teaching method of ",by the Chinese drum,flute,erhu,yangqin,flute,trombone,clarinet,trumpet and other musical instruments,through group rehearsals,scattered exercises,cooperative band Summer camp,winter camp stage display,effectively completed the music class training goals.The research shows that Joanne Brooke's "Happy Learning" music teaching is a systematic teaching method to stimulate students' interest in music with lively and interesting teaching contents and methods,to obtain music experience with rich and diverse music practice activities,and to promote music skills with stage performances.This teaching has practical application value for improving the music literacy of rural primary school students,and provides valuable reference for Chinese primary and secondary school music teachers to carry out the reform of basic music teaching curriculum and improve the teaching quality of basic music courses in an all-round way.
