A Study On The System And Organization Of Campus Marathon In Nanjing

In recent years,with the rapid development of urban marathon,colleges and universities in Nanjing have held their own marathons.This paper adopts the method of literature review,expert interview,questionnaire survey and logical analysis to study the competition system and competition organization of university campus marathon in NanJing from the organizers and participants,and provides some useful sug gestions for promoting campus marathon in the future.The research results show that:(1)There are two main types of schools carrying out campus marathon in Nanjing,one is the University's spontaneous competition,the other is the Jiangsu college marathon League.With the increase of the number of competitions,the scale of the events is gradually expanding;(2)In the current campus marath on system,the competition does not take into full consideration of the competition items,the circuit design is not innovative,the competition schedule is too dense,the competition methods and rules are not concise enough for participants,and the competition still has some security risks;(3)Communication problems exist in multi department linkage in event organization.Students have insufficient understan ding of marathon,the referee team has insufficient judgment ability,the technical means of the event are not advanced,and there are not enough supporting activities related to the event.Research Suggestions:(1)the first thing the organizer should do is to dilute the competitive elements in the competition;(2)The establishment of competition rules should fully ensure the safety of the competition;(3)In the process of striving to build the competition brand,we should fully highlight the different characteristics of each university;(4)organizational managers can learn from urban marathon and learn the advanced organizational and management concepts of urban marathon;(5)increase the number of training sessions for referees,staff and volunteers according to the actual needs of the event;(6)pay attention to the details of the competition organization to further understand the marathon,and collect the post-race evaluation with scientific methods;(7)strengthen communication among volunteers,organizers,athletes and spectators;(8)pay more attention to the participants and the audience's feelings during the event.
