Writing is an important part of Chinese teaching,and it is an important way to enhance students' ability of language expression.To be able to express themselves in a coherent way is the basic requirement for junior high school students,while cohesion and coherence are the important standards,a qualified composition should be proper cohesion and semantical coherence.However,the problems of discourse cohesion still exist in junior high school students' compositions,which has become an important factor affecting the effect of discourse communication.Therefore,this paper starts from the problems of cohesion in the composition of junior high school students,summarizes the types of problems,analyzes the causes of the problems,and explores solutions,so as to help students master the knowledge of cohesion,establish the awareness of cohesion,and improve their language skills.This paper is divided into six chapters.Chapter one,introduction,this chapter mainly expounds the origin and background of the topic,analyzes the significance and value of the research,establishes the research objectives and contents,combs the research status,and determines the research methods.Chapter two introduces the content of discourse cohesion.Firstly,introducing the concept of discourse and clarifying the importance of cohesion and coherence to discourse.Secondly,introducing discourse cohesion from three parts: the meaning of cohesion,the theory of discourse cohesion and the relationship between discourse cohesion and coherence.Chapter three analyse the concrete ways of discourse cohesion and the problems in the cohesion of middle school students' compositions.Based on the theory of discourse cohesion,this paper analyzes four types of cohesion: referential cohesion,structural cohesion,lexical cohesion and logical cohesion.First,it analyzes the application of the four cohesion modes in Chinese discourse by combining specific teaching materials.Second,it analyzes the discourse cohesion of junior high school students' compositions by combining writing examples.Chapter four summarizes the causes of the problems of cohesion in junior high school students' compositions.This chapter mainly analyzes from three aspects: for teachers,they neglect the teaching and evaluation of discourse cohesion;for textbooks,the knowledge of discourse cohesion in textbooks is lack of systematization and guidance.For students,they lack the awareness of discourse cohesion,lack the knowledge of discourse cohesion and are influenced by their language sense.Chapter five discusses the strategies for junior high school students to solve the problems of discourse cohesion.Learning by reading – permeating the knowledge of discourse cohesion;learning by practicing--strengthening discourse cohesion training;learning by evaluating—attaching importance to the discourse cohesion evaluation.Learning by reading,we should understand the way of discourse cohesion,accumulate the vocabulary of discourse cohesion,and understand the function of discourse cohesion.Learning by practicing,we should improve the effectiveness of discourse cohesion guidance,pay attention to the diversity of discourse cohesion training,and pay attention to the progressiveness of discourse cohesion training.Learning by evaluating,we should improve the standard of discourse cohesion evaluation,enrich the ways of discourse cohesion evaluation,and establish the archives of discourse cohesion.Chapter six summarizes the research results and shortcomings.
