The advent of global higher education centre is heralded as the latest development in international cooperation and coordination of higher education.The prevalence of global higher education centre is a symbol of transformative forces at play in international cooperation and coordination of higher education all over the world.The international cooperation and coordination of higher education have swept across the South Asia and South Eastern Asia in particular.The momentum is extraordinary and merits research.At present,India has wakened to the possibilities that follow from the globalhigher education centre.India is preparing to become the global higher education centre through international coopernation and coordination in higher education.Indian agencies related to the international cooperative institutions and university have taken note of global higher education centre through educational deliberations and symposiums in India.The prevalence and expansion of international cooperation and coordination in Indian higher education not to mention the short aspect in which it has been achieved interest to India for self-evident reasons geographical,social,political,economical,cultural feature andshared colonial past.The paper analyses the phenomenon of international cooperation and coordination in Indian higher education,its precipitous emergence and the system of international cooperation and coordination in Indian higher education,whether international cooperation and coordination makes India a global center of higher education.The paper examines the development of international cooperation and coordination of higher education in India.The paper is based on descriptive and critical research,combined with available consideration.The paper consists of three parts.The first part is the introduction.The second part is main part.The main part contains of three chapters.Chapter One summarises the formation context of Indian international cooperation and coordination in higher education and the early development(1980-1990).Chapter Two expounds the growing of Indian international cooperation and coordination in higher education(1991-2000).Chaper Three analyzes the rising of Indian international cooperation and coordination in higher education(2001-2018).The conclusion is the last part,Chaper Four,summarizing the research conclusions and related suggestions for higher education policy in Chinese international cooperation and coordination.
