The profound changes in social life in the ne w era and the rapid development of artificial intelligence have put forward new requirements for the quality of the people and the quality of personnel training.The ideological and political curriculum offered by ordinary high schools focuses on the histo rical orientation of the new era,and aims to train high school students with core literacy such as political identity,scientific spirit,rule of law consciousness and public participation.The ideological and political teachers should thoroughly study the objects of education and use certain educational intermediaries to commit themselves to the goal of the ideological and political curriculum of ordinary high schools in the new era.Current news is closely related to people's life and social dynamics.It reflects the material and spiritual life phenomenon of social change with strong temporal and spatial characteristics.Current news is an important educational intermediary with teaching effectiveness.It can be combined with a variety of teaching methods to fully mobilize students' classroom enthusiasm,so that students can achieve learning goals in a strong interest.In the high school ideological and political classroom teaching,the application of current news conforms to the requirements of the new cu rriculum reform,which is conducive to achieving the new curriculum goals of the new era,cultivating the core literacy of students' ideological a nd political disciplines,enhancing students' online public opinion cognition,promoting the all-round development of students and cultivating talents with good ethics.Teachers should be good at applying current news in ideological and political classroom teaching,and guide students to pay attention to society,observe social dynamics with dialectical,historical and realistic vision,and establish correct ideological and political direction.The thesis conducts an empirical study on the application of current news in the classroom of ideological and political education.It is found that students,teachers and schools have problems in the application of current news,such as students pay insufficient attention to current news and lack of analytical skills,teachers choose inappropriate current news,and the application method is single.In addition,the school lacks guarantees for students to get current news.Finally,Creatively put forward specific countermeasures to enhance students' motivation and interest in learning current news,and the countermeasures to cultivate students' ability and literacy to analyze current news,and improve the quality and efficiency of teachers' screening of current news,and enhance teachers' ability and level of applying current news,and help students improve the conditions and atmosphere of studying current news.It is conducive to optimizing the application of current news in ideological and political classroom teaching which could enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political classroom teaching.
