| As General Secretary Xi Jinping has emphasized, employment is the greatest livelihood of the people. We must adhere to the strategy of giving priority to employment and place the issue of people's employment in a more prominent position. The employment of poor students in colleges and universities is concerned about reducing the burden on the family. It has always attracted attention from all walks of life.Higher education is also regarded as the best way to increase the family's economic income and get rid of poverty.A series of socially sensitive issues remain in doubt.Jiangxi,as an economically underdeveloped area, has a large number of poor people. Therefore, studying the employment status of poor students in colleges and universities in Jiangxi and its effect on reducing poverty in the family economy is somewhat representative.Based on this, the purpose of this research is to investigate the poverty-stricken students in five colleges and universities in Jiangxi through the use of "empirical investigation + quantitative measurement" research methods,to explore the initial employment income and expenditure of poor students in colleges and universities and their poverty reduction effect on the family economy, and put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions. The study found that, firstly, the poor students in the five universities in Jiangxi have a good employment status, the employment rate is above 80%,and the overall employment rate reaches 85%;secondly,affected by employment income and expenditure in different employment regions, the poor students in colleges and universities contribute to the family economy There is a difference in the upper limit. The upper limit of the contribution of poor students who choose to work in first-tier cities and coastal areas to the family economy is higher than that of poor students who work in other regions, which means that poor students who work in large cities have a stronger ability to promote the family economy.Achieving poverty reduction.Third, among the 255 valid questionnaires surveyed, from the perspective of the potential ability of poor students to help their native families reduce their poverty,78.04% of poor graduates have employment income greater than their daily expenses, and their balance of income and expenditure, which is the upper limit of household economic contributions A positive number indicates that most of the poor graduates have the ability to help the native family to reduce poverty, but their abilities are significantly different.Second, from the perspective of the actual economic contribution of poor students' employment to the original family, there is a practical effect on the original family after employment.Economic contribution accounts for 78%(199 people),of which 67% of people's actual economic contribution to the family exceeds the average of poverty alleviation standards for poor counties in each region(3457.87 yuan / year),accounting for the total sample number(255 people)52%,it can be considered that the objective achievement rate of poverty alleviation for the family economy after the employment of college poor students reached 52%;on the other hand, from the subjective satisfaction rate, nearly 83% of the poor students believe that their employment has achieved poverty reduction in the family economy.Fourth, there are heterogeneities in the poverty reduction effect of the family in terms of gender, the majors of the poor students in the university, the employment area chosen after graduation, the type of undergraduate and employment time, and the causes of poverty in the original family.Employment of poor students in science majors and female colleges and universities has a greater effect on reducing poverty in the family economy;poor graduates who choose to work in first-line areas and coastal cities have a greater effect on reducing family poverty than other regions;in addition, one and two The three poverty-stricken graduates have a decreasing effect on the family's economic poverty, and from the perspective of employment duration, the poverty-reducing effect of college students who have been employed for a long time on the family economy is greater than that of the poor students who have been employed for a short time;College graduates who are poor due to illness and natural disasters have the largest actual contribution to the family economy, which is almost equal to the upper limit of the family economic contribution. It can be seen that no matter from the upper limit of the economic contribution of poor students to the original family's economy, the actual economic contribution,or the objective compliance rate and subjective satisfaction rate, most college poor students have a poverty reduction effect on the original family economy after employment.Based on this, the state should vigorously develop higher education and continue to promote poverty alleviation through education;colleges and universities must give full play to the value of college employment guidance, scientifically formulate college talent training plans in accordance with social talent needs, and provide precision employment assistance to poor students, while strengthening poverty Psychological health education for students, and poor students in colleges and universities must establish a correct concept of employment;poor students should take the initiative to improve their self-development capabilities and enhance their ability to get rich. |
