Over the past century,over-exploitation and utilization of water resources have reached unprecedented levels of pollution and destruction of the ecological environment.Water environmental issues have become a huge obstacle to sustainable development,and it has also become a global environmental protection and environmental education community.A major realistic topic that is of universal concern.Vigorously carrying out water environment education has become an important way to solve water environmental problems at the root and improve the value concept of all people's water environment.Especially in Urumqi,which is located in arid and dry areas in northwest China,the contradiction between the use and supply of water resources has become increasingly prominent.It is particularly important to raise the awareness of the city's residents about the water environment.Because the relevant content of water environment education has a deep connection with high school geography teaching,therefore,high school geography teaching shoulders a great responsibility for water environment education.Through investigation,it can be seen that water environment education does not Comprehensively,most schools failed to carry out correctly,and the goals of water environment education have not been achieved and the situation is urgent.This article briefly elaborates the related concepts and theoretical basis of water environment education,and combines with the practical experience and problems of geographical water environment education in high schools in Urumqi.According to the characteristics of classroom teaching in high school geography curriculum,the high school textbooks used in Xinjiang are taught.The knowledge in the version of the "Ordinary High School Curriculum Standards Textbook" is a paradigm that combines case teaching with water environmental education to provide teaching ideas and constructive ideas for water environment education in geography teaching in Urumqi.I hope to increase students' awareness of the surrounding water environment in Urumqi,mobilize students' interest in learning geography courses,and thus create a consciousness of consciously protecting the water environment in the hometown and actively participate in the protection of the water environment in the hometown.
