Reading is an important channel for people to acquire the required knowledge.If it is limited to textbooks,students' reading and reading volume are far from enough.Extracurricular reading plays an important role in the improvement of students' ability and the formation of their quality.In recent years,the market of extracurricular reading materials is unprecedentedly active,and there are a variety of extracurricular books about middle school students in the market.In the face of this situation,many junior high school students have some problems in choosing extracurricular reading materials.Most junior high school students have a strong interest in extracurricular reading,but most of them are addicted to leisure culture,which makes extracurricular reading a kind of literature missing dislocation reading.This paper explores how junior high school students,with the guidance and help of Chinese teachers,learn to use their own discrimination and judgment to choose extracurricular reading materials that are good for their physical and mental health,and develop an extracurricular reading system through ancient and modern reading resources.At the same time,it puts forward that to ensure the construction of the external environment for junior high school students to read extra-curricular books,schools,society and families should also do something at all levels and aspects.According to the national advocacy of reading for all and the requirements of Chinese curriculum standards for junior high school students,this paper is divided into six chapters,the first part: introduction.It mainly discusses the research background,research value,research problems,research theoretical basis and research status at home and abroad in recent years.The second part: mainly expounds the importance of excellent reading materials.On the one hand,it is conducive to play the role of Chinese instrumentality and humanity,broaden the knowledge field of vision,and cultivate students' independent personality.On the other hand,it is an effective supplement to classroom teaching.The third part: the current situation of the selection of extracurricular reading materials in junior high school.There are mainly questionnaire design ideas,survey results and analysis,and interviews with local middle school Chinese teachers.Through the analysis of the results of the investigation report,the paper finds out the problems and reasons in the selection of Chinese extracurricular reading materials for middle school students.The fourth part: mainly discusses the strategies of choosing extracurricular reading materials for junior high school students.From the perspective of junior high school students themselves,this chapter puts forward that we should pay attention to the classics and literariness of reading materials,the principle of combining personality and comprehensiveness,and the combination of reading in and out of class when choosing extracurricular reading materials.The fifth part: from the traditional reading resources,modern literature reading resources and popular reading resources three levels to develop the extracurricular reading system.The sixth part: the construction of the external environment of reading material selection for junior high school students.It includes teachers' guidance and regular reading evaluation of these extra-curricular books.At the same time,it puts forward relevant suggestions for ensuring the time of students' reading extra-curricular books and creating a good environment for reading extra-curricular books.
