HPS education is a teaching mode guided by constructivism,which emphasizes the integration of science history,philosophy of science and sociology of science into science teaching.HPS education emerged in Europe and the United States in the1980 s and officially entered the research field of our educators in the 21 st century.In2017,with the promulgation of China's Ministry of Education's "General Senior High School Chemistry Curriculum Standard",the landing of "subject core literacy" in chemistry classes has become an urgent problem to be solved.HPS education is highly consistent with the values of core literacy,which has become the starting point of this study.This study consists of six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,pointing out the background of this research,explaining the significance of the research from the theoretical and practical aspects,summarizing the research methods and design ideas,and analyzing the relevant literature at home and abroad to summarize the current research on HPS education Focus,research results,and problems in China's HPS education.The second chapter is the definition and guiding ideology of relevant concepts.The second chapter is the definition and guiding ideology of relevant concepts.This paper defines the connotation of HPS education,HPS education mode and core accomplishment of chemistry discipline,and explains the guiding theories of constructivism,humanistic learning theory,Dewey's life education theory,etc.,providing theoretical basis and pointing out the research direction for the following research.The third chapter is to investigate the penetration of HPS education in the current high school chemistry teaching,using questionnaires to survey some high school teachers and students in Jiang xi Province.The survey results show that front-line teachers in senior high schools generally do not have a deep understanding of the connotation and practical significance of HPS education,and they are not clear about the specific teaching mode and general teaching process for implementing HPS teaching.At the same time,the guidance of HPS teaching in teacher training is also exposed.The results of surveys of students showed that most students are very interested in the history of chemistry and so on,and also hope to acquire this knowledge.The fourth chapter is the construction and implementation strategy ofhigh school chemistry teaching model based on HPS.First,it analyzes the current common HPS education model.Based on the integration model of Osborne and Meng Ke,it combines scenario teaching and inquiry teaching and chemistry.The characteristics of the subject are summarized by the improved integrated teaching mode,and on this basis,the general teaching process and implementation suggestions for chemistry teaching in high school are proposed.The fifth chapter is the implementation and evaluation of teaching cases.From the three different angles of history of science,philosophy of science and sociology of science as the key value orientation,four teaching designs of "Chemical Energy and Electric Energy","Redox Reaction","Periodic Table of Elements" and "Sulfur Dioxide" are designed and applied to teaching to form teaching cases."Redox Reaction" is selected as the key implementation content,and the teaching effect is evaluated through questionnaire survey after the teaching.It is further concluded that the improved HPS teaching mode is suitable for high school chemistry teaching,is deeply loved by students,and can successfully complete the preset objectives and improve the scientific literacy of students.The sixth chapter is the research conclusion and reflection,which is to summarize the previous research and draw the conclusion: the application of HPS education in high school chemistry can increase the students 'interest in chemistry learning and humanistic literacy,deepen their understanding and cultivation of the nature of science and cultivate their core quality in chemistry.Finally summarizes some of the deficiencies in the research process of this article.
