Abstract/Summary:
John Lewis Holland(1919~2008)is a famous American educator and psychologist of vocational guidance,Professor of Johns Hopkins University,who has a profound impact on vocational guidance education.Therefore,this paper takes Holland as the research object,from the perspective of the history of education to analyze the origin,development context,specific content and main influence of his thought,hoping to provide the corresponding reference and reference for the practice of vocational guidance education in China.The introduction part of this paper mainly introduces the origin of the topic,defines the related concepts of vocational guidance,expounds the value and significance of studying Holland's educational thought,summarizes the research status of Holland's educational thought,and clarifies the research ideas of this paper.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the main part of this paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter mainly expounds the origin of Holland's vocational guidance education thought,which is closely related to four aspects.From the perspective of personal development,Holland's vocational guidance education thought originates from the accumulation of personal growth;from the perspective of ideological evolution,Holland's vocational education thought originates from the development of vocational guidance education theory and the development of social psychology in the United States;from the perspective of social change,Holland's vocational guidance education thought originates from the social innovation in the United States.The second chapter mainly introduces the formation of Holland's vocational guidance education thought.Specifically speaking,before 1959,it was the initial stage of his theory,and generally speaking,it was the practice that generated the research power;from 1959 to 1966,Holland put forward the hexagonal personality type,elaborated his own theory specifically,representing the initial appearance of the theory;from 1966 to 1973,Holland perfected the important concepts based on the original framework of his theory,which was the theoretical deepening stage;1973 years later,Holland constantly revised his theoretical system according to the survey data,so that the theory matured.The third chapter mainly introduces other discussions about vocational education guidance besides the systematic hexagon model theory and interest scale matching with it.It mainly includes the important role of interest in education,the premise of vocational education is to understand the personality characteristics of the mentors,to use the principle of simplification to promote the efficient vocational education guidance,and to adapt to the characteristics of the times for effective vocational education guidance.The fourth chapter mainly introduces the influence of Holland's vocational guidance education thought.It mainly includes the direct influence of Holland's educational practice,the special contribution of Holland's educational theory,the reference of Holland's educational thought to Chinese education,and the deficiency of Holland's educational thought.
