In the first half of the 20 th century,Erhu, one of the representatives of traditional Chinese musical instruments, entered the universities for the first time. After continuous efforts and explorations by generations such as Tianhua Liu,not only a large number of excellent erhu instrumental works have emerged, but also a lot of research has been conducted in the fields of erhu techniques, erhu teaching methods, and erhu teaching materials. The study of these educational theories and practices is a process of gradually deepening the understanding of Chinese traditional music education. This article aims to break the single model barriers formed in the traditional erhu enlightenment education, based on inheriting the excellent teaching achievements of the predecessors, such that it can provide useful help for the teaching of erhu, and further improve the Erhu's interest in learning by drawing on the advanced teaching concepts and methods of the west,at the same time.At present, the music education system that has a great influence in the world includes the Swiss Dalcroze music education system, the Japanese Suzuki pedagogy, the German Orff music education system, and the Hungary Kodaly music education system. This article will start from these four major music education systems(Dalcroze,Suzuki,Orff,Kodaly),combining the outstanding teaching characteristics of the four major music education systems, typical cases in the process of localization and the current erhu enlightenment teaching and some problems existing in current erhu enlightenment teaching. Some new thinking and measures will then be proposed. It is hoped that more modern music education concepts can be drawn on,when retaining the characteristics of traditional Chinese music culture,so that this ancient traditional musical instrument erhu is more widely accepted and promoted.
