In September 2017,Chinese primary and junior school students began to use Chinese textbooks which is compiled by the ministry. The current high school Chinese curriculum standards will also be the “whole book reading and discussion” as the first task group.Obviously, the “whole book reading” in the future junior school is more and more important. But,due to a variety of factors, the rural junior school situation is not optimistic. In view of this,we try to explore the impact of rural junior school “whole book reading” status, and propose construction strategy of rural junior school “whole book reading”,in order to improve the “whole book reading” of rural junior middle. This paper is based on the theory and practice, then we make a detail account about the “whole book reading” by using literature review, case study and discussion, its main content includes three parts: introduction, body and conclusion. The introduction part mainly discusses the reason and significance of the topic, the research status, methods and innovation. The main body of the article mainly includes the following four chapters:The first chapter, this paper expounds the definition and theoretical basis of“whole book reading”.The “whole book” discussed in this paper is a complete life, which is connected with the life of the author and is a work with unique soul and temperament. The “whole book reading” should be a process in which students actively collect, process and construct meaning of “whole book reading”.The principle of “gestalt theory” requires that the teaching of“whole book reading” always pay attention to the integrity of the structure and content of the work,so as to help students form a correct understanding of the original whole book;In the teaching of “whole book reading”,the teacher should take the activity as the main part and actively initiate the interaction and communication between students and teachers,so as to be more efficient. The second chapter is a questionnaire analysis of the current situation in rural junior middle schools in Pingshan County. We found that there are many reading problems : the reading interest of students is not high enough, the purpose of reading is utilitarian, the reading method is not scientific enough, and the corresponding teachers' guidance is lacking;most students do not have good reading habits, the scarcity of reading resources, and the family book collection and reading atmosphere is not strong, the school do not take the “whole book reading” seriously. The third chapter is the analysis of the problems of reading. The author found that the main reasons are as follows: the lack of a suitable reading environment and atmosphere;A shortage of reading resources;schools and teachers lack the necessary guidance and follow-up;The adverse effect of the measurement standards such as exam-oriented education;“whole book reading” teaching itself “can not do”.The Fourth Chapter, the paper proposes the construction strategy of improving “whole book reading” in rural. The social and educational authorities set up an overall environment for the development of “whole book reading” in rural areas;parents set up a life-long view of reading and actively participate in reading;and schools coordinate their time to form a teaching plan for “whole book reading”,for teachers, this paper puts forward the suggestions: reasonably organize the content of “whole book reading”,actively guide students to read the “whole book” and read more books to improve the core quality of Chinese and guidance ability. In the conclusion part,on the basis of the above-mentioned summary, the author further rethinks the problems which may appear in the practice of the whole book reading in the rural junior school, which is also the direction of this subject.
