Music has become an important part of modern people's daily life.The influence of music on human emotions has attracted many researchers' attention and exploration in recent years.Research shows that different types of environmental music have different effects on human emotions.Academia usually divides emotions into two categories: positive emotions and negative emotions.Positive emotions reflect the degree to which people feel enthusiastic,active and alert.At present,there have been studies on the relationship between music and emotion,focusing mainly on the different effects of music use,but not in-depth analysis of the music factors used,such as speed,rhythm,timbre,harmony and so on.However,revealing the internal characteristics of music is the key to practical guidance.In addition,previous studies on the psychological impact of environmental music on junior middle school students are still blank.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of the types of campus environmental music and its inherent characteristics on the positive emotions of junior high school students.Two studies were conducted to verify the relationship between environmental music types and positive emotions.Study 1 explores the music preference,positive emotions and the setting of campus environment music of junior high school students by questionnaire survey;Study 2 further investigates the influence of different types of environmental music on positive emotions through experimental intervention.Based on the above two studies,the main conclusions are as follows:(1)Rational use of campus environment music can significantly improve the positive emotions of middle school students.Music 80-120 speed of Western classical music is the most helpful to stabilize and promote the positive emotions of middle school students.(2)Compared with using western classical music alone and mixing with a small amount of other types of music,the positive emotions of students are improved more significantly.(3)In view of the particularity of music's effect on psychology,it takes a long time to use environmental music to enhance positive emotions.Short-term use has not found any improvement,and the effective time is generally more than four weeks in a row.Therefore,the campus environment music should be set up for a long time.
