Objective:In recent years, although the level of physical activity of children and adolescents in China has improved,it has not yet reached the relevant standard of recommended physical activity.Peer support is a strengthening factor to promote physical activity. It is of great significance to study its relationship with physical activity.Systematically review the peer support factors that affect the physical activity of children and adolescents, understand the level of physical activity and the status of peer support, and further explore the relationship between peer support and physical activity of children and adolescents.Method:In this study,a multi-stage sampling method was adopted. Two cities were randomly selected in the three economic circles of Beijing,Tianjin,Hebei,Yangtze River Delta, and Pearl River Delta. They were Beijing,Tianjin,Shanghai,Hangzhou,Guangzhou, and Foshan. Each city chooses one urban area and one suburb. Each district chooses one primary school(grades 4,5,and 6),junior high school(grades 1,2,and 3),and high school(grades 1,2,and 3)each.Two grades were selected for each grade, with 30 students in each class.6,480 questionnaires were distributed,of which 4,944 were valid questionnaires, with an average age of 13.57 ± 3.94 years.Extract specific indicators through the literature data method;establish a peer support indicator system after three rounds of Delphi methods;use the questionnaire survey method to obtain basic information, peer support, and physical activity data, where the peer support measurement is a self-made questionnaire that has been tested for reliability and validity The physical activity measurement adopts the "International Physical Activity Questionnaire Short Volume" with good reliability and validity;the mathematical statistics method is used to process and analyze the data, which uses descriptive statistics to describe the physical activity level and the status of peer support, and uses analysis of variance to compare the differences between the two variables Using correlation analysis to explore the relationship between peer support and physical activity.Result:(1)The total scores of peer support in schools and communities are 77.85 ± 21.28 and 64.63 ± 27.93,which are at a relatively low level.Peer support in schools is higher than peer support in the community.Among the three-level indicators, the model scores of peers in schools and communities were the highest(82.03 ± 21.45,65.99 ± 28.87),and the scores of peers in schools and communities were the second(77.28 ± 25.67,64.19 ± 30.49),and peer encouragement(73.09 ± 26.90,63.49 ± 30.14)has the lowest score.Peer support scores were statistically different in gender, schooling, suburbs, and boarding.(2)Children and adolescents in 6 cities in 3 major economic circles participated in medium and high-intensity physical activity every day for 52.83 ± 46.14 min,and the proportion of reaching the recommended amount of physical activity was 35.98%.There were statistical differences in gender, school segment, suburbs, and boarding.Among them,boys(56.70 ± 48.54min)were higher than girls(49.26 ± 43.50min),and urban areas(54.77 ± 46.31min)were higher than suburbs(50.87 ± 45.89min).With the rise of the school year, the physical activity time showed a downward trend, and the non-boarding students(55.78 ± 46.89min)were higher than the boarding students(44.48 ± 42.83min).(3)There is a correlation between peer support and physical activity level(r = 0.155 ~ 0.192,p <0.01).From the correlation between the peer support scores of the three levels of indicators and the daily MVPA,peer companionship(r = 0.187,p <0.01)> peer model(r = 0.160 ~ 0.177,p <0.01)> peer encouragement(r = 0.139 ~ 0.155,p <0.01),the correlation between school and community peer support in gender, school segment, suburbs, and boarding situation showed differences.Conclusion:(1)At this stage, the level of physical activity of children and adolescents in the three major economic circles in China is relatively low,and the proportion of reaching the recommended amount of physical activity is less than 40%.In addition, girls, suburbs, high schools, and boarding children and adolescents are in a weak position in physical activity participation, and the level of physical activity needs to be improved.(2)The overall level of peer support for children and adolescents in 6 cities is not high. The level of peer support in schools is higher than the level of peer support in the community.Girls, high school students and non-boarders are in a weak position in peer support.Peer support is in gender, suburban,There are significant differences in terms of schooling and boarding.(3)Peer encouragement, peer model, peer companionship have a positive correlation with physical activity level. The higher the peer support level, the higher the physical activity level of children and adolescents. The correlation between peer companionship and physical activity is higher than peer model and peers.encourage.The correlation between peer support and physical activity of boys is lower than that of girls, and the correlation between peer support and physical activity is higher in school than in middle school and junior high school. The level of school peer support related to physical activity was generally higher than that of the community. At the gender and school level, school peers were more related to physical activity than community peers. However, suburban community peer support was more related to physical activity than urban areas.
