Professional study is a compulsory course for college students before entering the society.Its quality directly affects the students' professional quality and further affects the quality of students' training.At present,college students have professional cognitive bias,low professional interest and other factors leading to professional learning difficulties,and even psychological problems such as boredom,affecting college students to adapt to the majors.In recent years,domestic and foreign scholars have relatively few studies on professional adaptability.Professionals are the vane of future careers for students and are related to their professional development.Through the students' adaptation to the professional situation,we can also examine the development status of the major,and have certain reference value for examining the quality of the professional talents in colleges and universities.In this regard,the school needs to pay attention.Having adopted “The Measuring Table of Professional Adaptability for College Students”,totally 1000 students from seven colleges in Fuzhou City were investigated and the main conclusions were drawn as follows:(1)On the whole,college students possess upper middle level of professional adaptability;(2)With view to the types of professions,medical students have higher adaptability than agricultural and forest students;(3)The higher the mother's academic qualifications,the better their children's performance in professional adaptability;(4)The academic achievement,professional selection and cadre experience of college students are significantly related to their professional adaptability.And those with better academic performance,self-selection of their professions and cadre experience will possess higher professional adaptation.Using the interview outlines edited by the author,students and counselors from different colleges and professions were interviewed,from which the existing problems of their professional commitment,learning motivation,learning behavior and self-efficacy were summarized and analyzed.At present,students have low professional identity,low learning enthusiasm,lack of professional self-confidence,lack of education guidance and other reasons that affect their professional adaptability.In this regard,the author puts forward relevant educational suggestions.
