With the establishment of the professional status of teachers,the professional development of teachers gradually entered the research field of vision.Under this background,the research on how to promote the professional development of teachers has also flourished.There is no doubt that reading is a spontaneous and effective measure to promote the professional development of teachers.However,the study of promoting teachers 'professional development through reading is mostly focused on liberal arts teachers such as Chinese and English.It is rare to see the professional development of mathematics teachers' spontaneous reading.Therefore,in the course of the study,the author takes the primary school mathematics teacher as the research object and analyzes the relationship between primary school mathematics teacher reading and professional development through questionnaire survey and interview.The main issues discussed in this paper are:First,the actual reading situation of primary school mathematics teachers.Through the survey,it can be found that at the current stage,there are many problems in the actual reading situation of primary school mathematics teachers,and many teachers 'reading habits have not been formed."Not enough time" and "not enough attention to reading" are the main reasons why they do not read.The reading of teachers who have developed reading habits is mainly to promote the improvement of teaching patterns and the development of scientific research activities.Second,the impact of reading on the development of primary school mathematics teachers 'professional knowledge.This study mainly analyzes the influence of reading on the following three aspects of primary school mathematics teacher MPCK:(1)knowledge of mathematics;(2)knowledge of students;(3)General teaching knowledge.Through the study,we can find that reading is the most helpful to primary school mathematics teachers in "understanding mathematics thinking methods","designing teaching processes and examples",and "understanding common mistakes and teaching countermeasures."Thirdly,in order to explore the relationship between teachers 'reading and their own professional development,according to the teachers' gender,professional title,and the region where the school is located,their reading differences are effectively compared and analyzed.Finally,according to the problems found in the survey,the author puts forward some suggestions to promote primary school mathematics teachers' reading from the teachers' own and external perspectives:(1)stimulate the internal driving force of primary school mathematics teachers' reading;(2)we should attach importance to the reading of educational classics and disseminate mathematical culture;(3)Form a reasonable reading structure based on MPCK theory;(4)Establish a professional reading community for primary school mathematics teachers and create the conditions for reading protection.
