A Case Study On The Teaching Of Ancient Poetry In Primary School Based On Speech Act Theory

Abstract/Summary:
The teaching of ancient poetry is not only one of the important parts of teaching of language and literature in primary schools,but also bears the heavy responsibility of inheriting the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation.Under the promotion of the new round of curriculum reform,the newly revised curriculum standard emphasizes the improvement of students' core literacy in the process of cultivating students' language and writing skills when teaching ancient poetry for the students in primary schools.However,influenced by factors such as knowledge standard and education utilitarianism,the teaching of ancient poetry in elementary school has gradually become an activity of thoroughly explanation of contents of textbooks and indoctrinated to command knowledges,and it has ignored the importance of guiding students to have a procedural and non-linear understanding of ancient poetry and showing the respect to the ancient poetry itself.Whether it is from the aspect that inheriting the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation or improving the core literacy of students,exploring a new way of teaching ancient poetry in primary schools is a subject worth exploring.In this paper,based on the literature research method,it explores the relationship between speech act theory and ancient poetry teaching in elementary school from three aspects,namely,students,teachers and ancient poetry texts.Based on case analysis and action research,and according to the formal case analysis and research of action,it analyzes the feasibility of teaching poetry at elementary school based on speech act theory.The contents of the research include seven parts: First,it briefly discusses the attention from the national level to the teaching of ancient poetry in elementary schools and the basic situation of the teaching of ancient poetry in primary schools in the introduction part of the paper.The literature review is focusing on two aspects,that is the relationship between theory of speech act and the relevant research on Chinese teaching and the research on the teaching of ancient poetry in the primary school.Secondly,it briefly introduces the speech act and speech act theory,and systematically illustrates the relationship between speech act theory and teaching of ancient poetry in elementary school.Thirdly,it discussed the value of introducing speech act theory to the teaching of ancient poetry in primary schools.Fourthly,based on the speech act theory,the case analysis of the ancient poetry teaching in primary school iscarried out,and it obtains the problems existing in the teaching of ancient poetry in the primary school,and the attribution analysis is carried out.Fifth,case studies and practices.Sixth,the teaching strategy of ancient poetry in elementary school based on speech act theory is proposed.Seventh,the summary and shortcomings of the research.In this paper,it takes speech act theory as a starting point,regards the teaching of ancient poetry in elementary school as the process of two-way interaction among teachers,students,ancient poetry texts,after then,analyzes the phenomenon and problems of the lack of verbal expression caused by much importance attached to knowledge-based curriculum in the teaching of ancient poetry in primary schools.And it conducts attribution analysis based on classroom observations and in-depth interviews.Based on the theoretical discussion,the author also selects the poetry whose name is "Yong Liu" in the last of two volumes of the official version textbook for second grade to conduct the research by comparing the teaching effect between the traditional method teaching "Yong Liu" and teaching of "Yong Liu" based on the speech act theory.Through the combination of theoretical and practical exploration,it finally extracts the teaching strategies and research deficiencies of primary school ancient poetry based on speech act theory in this paper.
