Research On The National Southwestern Associated University Serving Yunnan Society

The National Southwestern Associated University is an inland university that came into being during the comprehensive anti-Japanese war in China.It was composed of Peking University,Tsinghua University and Nankai University.In Yunnan for eight years,it created a miracle of running a university in a difficult environment.The success of the Southwest Associated University,in addition to its unique internal and effective mechanism,the strong support of Yunnan society is a key factor.Similarly,the National Southwestern Associated University has also made outstanding contributions to the development of Yunnan society.By exploring the development picture of Yunnan society under the service of the National Southwestern Associated University and revealing the rules of wartime university and social interaction,it can not only make up for the existing achievements,but also pay attention to some of the shortcomings left by the internal governance of the the National Southwestern Associated University,and also enrich the wartime university.Related research on local social relations.This paper takes the the National Southwestern Associated University as a research object,and uses literature methods,case studies and other research methods to examine the political,economic,cultural and educational aspects of Yunnan from the National Southwestern Associated University,showing the promotion of Yunnan's social development.In fact,clarifying the reasons and forms of the university's service society,it comes down to the "communication between the university and the society." This article is divided into the following five parts:The first part is the introduction,including the background and significance of the topic,literature review,research methods,innovations and expected difficulties,etc.The second part is the general situation of the Southwest Associated University and the pre-war Yunnan society,including the birth of the the National Southwestern Associated University and the relative backwardness of Yunnan.The third part focuses on the Yunnan society under the service of the National Southwestern Associated University,mainly from four aspects: politics,economy,culture and education.Although the internal migration of the National Southwestern Associated University is a passive move and conflicts with the local time in Yunnan,it can generally “reinvent the dangers” and make outstanding contributions to the development of Yunnan society: promote the vigorous development of the patriotic democratic movement and enhance the local economic level.It has led the local social trend and promoted the progress of local education.In a certain sense,the Yunnan society under the southwestern link of the United States has seen a picture of a university that has joined hands with the society to modernize.The fourth part is a review of some major issues facing the National Southwestern Associated University in serving Yunnan society.In terms of the reasons for the service,it is not only the choice of the university itself,but also the need of the local society to get rid of the relatively backward situation;in terms of the form of service,it is mainly divided into school teaching,public speech,creation of publications and drama clubs,and various organization,on-site research and practice;for the "communication of the two sides" in the service,the two sides need to pay special attention to establish mutual respect and tolerance of interaction,to bridge conflicts in communication,to maintain the flexibility and tension of interaction.The fifth part is the conclusion.The National Southwestern Associated University,which was forced to move in,came to the relatively backward Yunnan.The seemingly accidental "meeting" actually had some "necessary" choices between the two sides.Summarizing the historical experience of the National Southwestern Associated University in serving Yunnan society,not only can we restore this history more deeply,but also help us better understand and deal with the interaction between current universities and local society.
