| Growth mindset is a kind of thinking mode of continuous attempt, continuous challenge and success. It is an important promoter of individual and social development. The key period of its cultivation is primary school stage. The American society has formed a mature growth mindset training system, which provides strong support for children's individual growth.A systematic study on the cultivation system, effectiveness and problems of American Primary School Students' growth thinking can provide some enlightenment and reference for the theory and practice of Chinese primary school students' growth thinking cultivation. The theory of growth mindset was proposed by Professor Carol Dweck and his team.It is based on the relevant contents of psychology, brain science and pedagogy. It involves achievement motivation theory and attribution theory of success and failure, brain wave intervention and cerebral cortex response, teaching strategies and educational tact. The cultivation system of American Primary School Students' growth mindset mainly includes five aspects: the support of the US Department of education, the guidance and promotion of scholars, the participation and support of social organizations, the curriculum and implementation of schools, and the assistance and guidance of parents. The cultivation of American Primary School growth thinking has a positive impact on primary school students' learning motivation and self-efficacy,self-learning strategy awareness, learning participation and responsibility,as well as accurate communication ability. However, there are also problems such as inadequate teacher training, unsustainable and discontinuous implementation process, and unbalanced capital investment.Based on the reality of our country and learning from the experience of American Primary School Students' growth mindset training system,we need to reasonably guide parents to use effective ways of training, advocate integrating the cultivation of growth mindset into the whole process of learning and education, and encourage more experts, scholars and social organizations to participate in it. |
