| With the increasing emphasis on early childhood education,philosophies have gradually shifted from teacher-led to child-led.Teachers have gradually began to develop a sense of what an emergent curriculum looks like.Focusing on the experiences and feelings of young children,the learning process follows and supports children's interests,needs and ideas.The “Emergent Curriculum” became the new model as proposed by Betty Jones.With the practice of an “emergent curriculum”,kindergarten also faces a series of problems in the teacher's concept,teacher's ability,children's learning characters,and the environment and resources,etc.Therefore,it is particularly important to analyze the problems existing in this curriculum,summarize the causes of the problems,explore the effective management countermeasures,and carry on the scientific and standardized management to the generated curriculum.According to the relevant theories of emergent curriculum,through a questionnaire survey,case study,interview,and observation,this study investigates the present situation of emergent curriculum practice in 12 kindergartens.Combined with the case in W kindergarten,it concludes that there are weak consciousness and vague concept in the practice of emergent curriculum in kindergarten,the ability of teacher generation is insufficient,children are not active in learning,and the environment and resources can not meet the needs of generation and other issues.To find out the reasons for the above problems,supplemented by the interview results,analyse from the four management dimensions of teacher concept,teacher ability,children,environment and resources,summed up the lack of training for teachers to generate courses,teachers lack of curriculum practice,children's learning initiative to be cultivated,environment creation limitations,single cooperation with parents and community,and so on.In view of the causes of the problems,this study puts forward the management countermeasures of emergent curriculum: First,improve the teachers' productivity;Second,cultivate the children's autonomous learning ability;Third,enhance the environmental support.Those three methods are extremely effective and valuable,and they ensure the smooth and in-depth development and success of the practice of emergent curriculum. |
