It has been 20 years since China entered the aging society. In 2019,the number of elderly people aged 60 and above has reached 249 million. It is estimated that by2030 China's elderly population will reach 358 million, accounting for about 25% of the total population,of which empty nest elderly will reach more than 200 million. This is the result of rapid economic development, rapid advances in science and technology, continuous improvement in medical standards, and family planning policies. After the elderly have basically met their material needs, they pay more attention to their spiritual needs, especially the empty nest elderly.Whether or not the elderly in the empty nest can enjoy their old age is not only related to the elderly's own happiness in the old age,the working life of their children, but also the quality of people's lives and the process of building a well-off society in China.Although "changing home often" has been written into the law,and some progress has been made, there are still many problems in the specific implementation.Social workers should continue to improve the social support system, formulate more targeted service strategies, and provide better services based on the characteristics of the empty nest elderly's spiritual needs. The object of this study is the empty nest elderly in the L community of Rugao City,Jiangsu Province.Through questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews to understand the current state of social support and needs of empty nest elderly in different age groups, their children 's mental support, and community-based spiritual support, the research results show that: 1.Empty nest elderly in different age groups Different levels of support for spiritual self-reliance,support,and support;2.Different levels of empty-nest elderly require different levels of spiritual self-reliance,support,and support, especially with age.The support needs rise in an inverted U shape first.3.The younger the empty nest elderly, the higher the need for spiritual self-support and support, and the older the empty nest elderly, the higher the need and support for spiritual support.Based on this, based on the perspective of social work intervention, from the microcosmic perspective, through data analysis,a spiritual "three support" support mechanism suitable for empty nest elderly in different age groups is established. The younger empty nesters are mainly self-supported,assisted as supplementary, and supported as supplements.Middle-aged empty nest elderly support is the main,self-support is the supplement, and supplement is the supplement.Elderly empty-nest elders Assistance is the main, support is the supplement, and self-support is the supplement.Determine appropriate social work intervention strategies based on the above.Younger empty nesters focus on social work interventions such as marriage, learning of new technologies, and community participation.Middle-aged empty nesters focus on social work interventions such as volunteer service activities,parent-child communication, and health lectures.Elderly empty nest elderly need to focus on volunteer work, family doctors' psychological counseling, and narrative therapy.Change the passive intervention of social work into an active intervention, change the traditional role of social work intervention, and clarify the way and content of social work's "three upbringing" interventions for empty nest elderly in different age groups.
