The works of Lu Xun entered Chinese teaching materials of middle schools during the Republic of China,since then they clearly expressed Lu Xun's patriotism.However,due to the constant changes in the times,Lu Xun's writings were more controversial in any historical stage than that in Lu Xun's life after the Republic of China.In the modern era,Lu Xun's image is returning to the world increasingly and no matter if his ideas are in keeping with the times,his "patriotism" is what the students nowadays must master.This article has made four aspects.Firstly,it traces back to the origin and introduces briefly to the origins of Lu Xun's works into the secondary school Chinese class;Secondly,through the questionnaire survey,it investigates the reasons why the students are alienated from Lu Xun and his works and the status quo of teaching;Thirdly,it analyzes why it is necessary that Lu Xun's works should exist today and explains the necessity of its returning in the Chinese class of middle school;Fourthly,it discusses the effective teaching methods when Lu Xun's works return.In conclusion,it is a question worthy of consideration by every middle school Chinese teacher with the conscience of the times that how to treat the alienation between students and Lu Xun's works and how to narrow the "distance" between them reasonably.Meanwhile,it is also the significance of this article.
