In the 21 st century,with the rapid development of new media such as touch media,digital television and short video,image resources such as pictures and short videos can be seen everywhere.People's reading habits have also been deeply changed,pictures and short videos playing an increasingly important role in our daily reading.This is especially true for teenagers.The effective use of picture resources to assist teaching in Morality and Rule of Law is conducive to the development of students and the improvement of teaching effect.However,the reality is that many middle school teachers are often confined to the traditional view that "pictures are only the ornament of the classroom",ignoring the function of pictures in teaching.In this context,the teachers of the course of Morality and Rule of Law also failed to take the image resources as an assisted tool in teaching,but simply as a decoration to attract students' attention.This has obviously become a barrier to the improvement of the teaching quality in this subject.Based on the investigation of the use of image resources in Yuelu middle school of the first high school of Changsha,No.1 Middle School in Kaifu District,Hunan Qingzhuhu foreign language school,Tiandi middle school,Sili middle school in Guiyang County,Chenzhou City and Yongchun Central School in Beihu District in Chenzhou,this paper discussed some problems of using picture resources in the subject of Morality and Rule of Law in junior high school.For example,in the process of using pictures in class,teachers overemphasize the form and quantity,without valuing time efficiency and effectiveness;they do not use pictures according to different types of classes and different teaching columns;they do not have enough awareness of using pictures as thetheme of teaching,and do not show the overall effect of pictures;teachers in class use pictures as the main method of teaching,and do not fully excavate the students own resources.In addition,students reading pictures is just skimming on the water,lack of self-study awareness,and do not pay much attention to image resources and other adverse phenomena.There are always deep-seated reasons behind these phenomena.After deep exploration,I found that the reasons for these problems are as follows: firstly,most teachers have heavy tasks and lack of time to carefully select image resources;secondly,some teachers have outdated teaching concepts and lack of innovative methods to use image resources;thirdly,junior high school students do not master the skills of reading pictures,and lack of the ability to read and appreciate pictures independently;fourthly,influenced by exam oriented education,students don't have the stage to make creative pictures.Based on the practice experience and various teaching and research activities,as well as the problems found in the investigation,I put forward the targeted strategies for the effective use of pictures in the classroom of Moral and Rule of Law in junior high school: first,use the picture resources close to real life,pay attention to quality rather than quantity;second,select appropriate pictures to show the column characteristics;third,choose proper pictures to improve teaching effect;Finally,change students' reading habits and analyze pictures scientifically."I have to be aware of this on paper,but I have to do it myself." I have applied these strategies into a specific lesson-"love in the family",and combined this specific teaching case with those strategies to explore the actual teaching effect by using picture resources effectively.
