Population Structure And Economic Growth In The Revitalization Of Liaoning Traditional Industrial Base

"The revitalization of the Northeast in the new era is a comprehensive and all-round revitalization..." General secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his visit in Liaoning and at the forum to further promote the revitalization of Northeast China laid a solid foundation for the revitalization and development of the old industrial base in Northeast China,including Liaoning.It is of great theoretical and practical significance for deepening reform and planning development in the future to review the population and economic problems in the early stage and the current development of Liaoning old industrial base.This paper reviews and analyzes the history and current situation of population and economic evolution of Liaoning old industrial base.By combing the relevant literature,we have a further understanding of economic growth,population structure and their interaction,and thus think that a series of population problems in Liaoning,such as population outflow and deepening of aging,are accompanied by economic development difficulties.However,in the literature review,it is found that the current research mainly focuses on the impact of population structure,most of which is a single population structure on economic growth,with little consideration given to the role of economic growth on population structure change;therefore,it is ignored that in different periods and regions of economic development,the role of population structure on economic growth is also different.Some studies only come to a single conclusions lacking of regional targeted.Therefore,this paper takes the improvement of the above problems as an innovative point to carry out research.This paper widens the category of population structure from two aspects of population quantity and quality,and makes an empirical analysis on the impact of population structure changes on economic indicators.On the basis of fully considering the influence of economic growth on population structure,this paper constructs a new generation overlapping model combining with diamond model,and takes the comprehensive index of population structure into account for mathematical derivation.This paper uses the method of comparative static analysis to examine the relationship between population and economy in the choices of consumption,saving and children's cultivation.The analysis shows that the change of population structure can effectively affect economic growth,and the impact will vary with the level of economic growth.The effect of population structure indicators on economic growth is different before or behind the relevant "inflection point".At the same time,combined with the conclusion of the model,if the following empirical analysis can also observe this difference,it proves the necessity of considering the impact of economic growth on population structure from the side.The empirical analysis based on the data of 31 provinces(autonomous regions)proves the conclusion of the theoretical analysis.The relationship between population and economy in Northeast China,such as Liaoning,is obviously different from that in Western China and eastern China.Some indicators of population structure in this region have been behind the relevant "inflection point";the improvement of birth rate,inflow rate and education level is conducive to economic growth,and the deepening of population aging is not conducive to economic growth.Therefore,we should formulate policies with more regional characteristics,such as more efforts should be made to liberalize the fertility policy and settlement conditions in Liaoning Province,and increase the investment in pension funds;at the same time,we should pay close attention to the population demand,carry out supply side reform for population changes in economic development,and strive to form a virtuous cycle of population and economy.
