Sequence of number is a special function.It is an important mathematical model to describe the discrete function.At the same time,sequence of number lays the foundation for the subsequent study of calculus.Therefore,in the process of high school mathematics learning,sequence of number is a link,which plays a significant role in connecting the past and the future.Based on the background,purpose,significance and content of Mathematics Curriculum Standard(experiment)of General High School,this paper makes use of the position and function of sequence of number in high school mathematics and the National College Entrance Examination.Besides,it takes the students from No.1 Middle School of Zhengzhou Longhu as the research object.What's more,with the help of literature analysis,test analysis,comparison experiment,statistical analysis and interview,it also explores the difficulties encountered by students in order to develop their ability to solve problems about sequence of number,and provide some reference suggestions for teachers in the future teaching work.By grouping the 2021 st students from Class 1~10 in No.1 Middle School of Zhengzhou Longhu and adopting different teaching methods and different learning methods,this paper creatively adopts the method of contrast experiment.Thanks to the author's research countermeasures,the majority of students have made great progress.By analyzing the causes of high school students' learning difficulties in sequence of number,the corresponding strategies are given from two aspects both in teachers' teaching and students' learning.On the one hand,teachers should improve their own teaching skills andattach more importance to the research of teaching art,especially in the teaching of sequence.Combining the relevant math culture,teaching students according to their aptitude and building a good communication relationship between teachers and students will be possible.On the other hand,with the help of their school,students need to study on their own initiative,using the following methods,such as group mutual evaluation,problem induction and the improvement of their operational ability.Meanwhile,it's a good way for students to actively cooperate with teachers to the best of their ability,especially for the learning of sequence.More communication between teachers and students will be needed in order to solve the problems encountered in the study.In addition,the study of sequence should be based on the basic knowledge from textbooks,like concepts and formulas.What's more,it's necessary to dig into textbooks to grasp various forms of sample exercises and sum up different kinds of errors in other exercises.Moreover,practicing as much as possible to better understand the mathematical ideas is access to improving the arithmetical capability.In the end,it's suggested that students should develop good living habits,which will do good to their confidence in learning sequence of number.
