In recent years,the Ministry of Education has launched the new round of revision of curriculum standards,while the largest change is that it has clear requirement on the cultivation of key competence of discipline.As the practitioner of new curriculum,the front-line teachers have the duty and responsibility to give priority to the cultivation of students' core competence.As a geography educator,is “geography literacy” just an educational ideal or an educational idea that has already been realized? Can science classes in primary school enable children to fall in love with geography from the bottom of their hearts? What kind of geography teaching method is needed in the science class of primary school?With these questions in mind,the author began to explore and implement the corresponding teaching methods in the science class of primary school since 2016.In this paper,the cultivation of geography literacy in science class of primary school is studied from two aspects: theory and practice.The research proves that different teaching strategies not only have significant advantages in improving students' interest in learning,deepening their memory and stimulating their personality,but also meet the teaching needs of science class of primary school.At the same time,on the basis of combining the theoretical analysis and the verification of practice,in the paper,the suggestion of promoting the teaching method of geography literacy into the science class of primary school is also put forward,which is from the important link of carrying out the training of geography literacy in teaching,the dialectical logic applied in the teaching of science class and the rational adoption of this teaching method to popularize the strategy and so on.This article is divided into the following parts:The first part is the introduction.In this chapter,the research background and significance of this paper are expounded.After consulting a large number of literature,the author summarizes the current research status of geography literacy training in primary school science class,lists the innovation of this paper and briefly introduces the three research methods used in this subject,namely,literature research method,data statistics method,questionnaire method.The second part is the basic concept and theoretical basis.In this part,the theoretical basis of this paper is discussed,which is from the curriculum standards,geographical literacy,primary school scientific literacy and the psychological characteristics of primary school students,thus providing the theoretical support for this study.The third part is the investigation of the current situation of the geography literacy of primary school students.In this part,the author investigates the present situation of the grade three,four,five,and six of Mingtong Primary School and Panlong Primary School in Panlong District,Kunming City,Yunnan Province,with a total of 200 students' geographical literacy in school through the method of questionnaire.Another questionnaire is a survey of 60 current science teachers in Panlong District.This questionnaire is a survey of the current situation of the training of geography literacy for primary school science teachers.the author makes statistics on the effective information after the questionnaire is recovered,uses spss 23.0 and wps software for data analysis and integration,draws relevant charts,intuitively presents the conclusions,and facilitates the analysis and comparison,so as to provide the basis for the strategy of primary school students' geographical literacy in the following article.The fourth part is the application and effect of the strategy of cultivating geographical literacy in the class.Based on the research of the present situation of the cultivation of primary school students' geographical literacy,the four training strategies of game teaching method,geography experiment teaching method,information technology integration teaching and evaluation integration teaching are preliminarily put forward,and the relevant implementation cases are provided.In addition,the applicable contents and methods of each method are combed in detail.The author's classroom practice has proved that the above four teaching methods have a positive effect on improving the teaching effect of primary school students' science class andimproving their geographical literacy,which provides important basis and reference experience for the promotion of the teaching methods mentioned in the paper.The fifth part is the conclusion and prospect.The basic conclusions of this paper are expounded,the shortcomings of this study are found,and the future research and improvement of this subject are put forward.
